Freelance illustrator or designer with strong illustration skills

Duck Duck Moose Design is seeking an illustrator or designer with strong illustration skills to work on a new iPhone app for children. Our previous apps have won several awards for children’s education and have consistently ranked at the top of their category in the iTunes App Store. Wheels on the Bus, our first app was featured in The New York Times, USA Today, San Francisco Chronicle, Discovery Channel, MSNBC.com, Wired.com, Daily Candy Kids.

The position will start out as a freelance, project-based position with the possibility of becoming a full-time permanent job. Candidate will work in-house in San Francisco (location is close to 280 and Muni).

Requirements:

• Strong illustrations skills
• Understanding of technology and iPhone interface
• Design, layout and typography skills
• In-depth knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
• Extra points for knowledge of web design, HTML and CSS, but not a requirement
• Good personality, ability to take creative direction from others and an interest in children’s illustration and/or education
